What should you do with a yellow special mark?

Short answer

Check the chart and current publication to identify its purpose, limits and route implication

Yellow identifies the special-mark family, but the purpose can be a cable, works, recreation area, traffic feature or another charted use. The colour alone does not state whether entry is prohibited, safe or deep. Resolve the purpose and any current change before choosing the route, and revise Special and Emergency Wreck Marks.
