How to Read PPR Scenarios

PPR scenarios usually contain pressure: a client wants to go, a defect appears, the weather is marginal, the crew is tired, or the documentation is unclear. The correct answer normally protects people, checks requirements, records decisions, and escalates uncertainty.

Avoid answers that sound commercially convenient but skip the professional step. If the scenario gives a defect, tired crew, unclear certificate, or passenger risk, respond to it directly.

  • Identify the duty and the risk.
  • Check the applicable requirement.
  • Control the risk before continuing.
  • Record and communicate the decision.
