Scenario Method
Radar scenarios train the order of thought. The aim is not to identify one echo and stop thinking. The aim is to build a defensible decision from limited evidence.
Use a repeatable method: define the problem, set the radar correctly, identify fixed references, sort moving targets, assess CPA/TCPA, cross-check, decide, and monitor the outcome.
- Start with the navigation or collision question.
- Choose range and controls for that question.
- Separate fixed and moving echoes.
- State what extra information would improve the decision.
